A town that connects space and time - Ise is a land of history and traditions.

The Ise-Shima area has been a major pilgrimage destination since ancient times because it contains Ise Jingu, Saiku (the residence of the High Priestess of Ise Jingu), and other sites connected with the Shinto tradition. As the region is located in a national park, it also has many beautiful mountains and rivers, and visitors can enjoy splendid ocean views. It is referred to as the "heart of Japan," and for this reason it was chosen to host the 2016 G-7 summit meeting.

Kogakkan University is uniquely positioned to foster Japanese traditions in a natural environment, but with convenient domestic and international access. Nagoya, Osaka, and Kyoto are easily reached by train from Iseshi Station (JR and Kintetsu lines) or Ujiyamada Station (Kintetsu line). A ferry service from Tsu City connects the region to the Chubu Centrair International Airport. Express buses and the Ise Expressway also make it easy to travel to and from the area.
