英語の「歴史ラン」に参加【8月12日】

平成29年8月12日（土）早朝、コミュニケーション学科のメイヨー・クリストファー准教授は英語の「歴史ラン」をして、参加者は３名でした（英国夏季短期留学生のうち１名、神戸女子大学の学生１名と同大学教員１名）。今回はケント大学を出て、ジョン・ボーイズの斜めに傾いた家（17世紀）の前まで走って、全部で約５キロのコースでした。このユニークな家は英国の建築史、歴史資料、遺跡と文学について話す機会になりました。
Early in the morning on August 12th, Associate Professor Christopher Mayo (Communication Department) led one of the students participating in this year’s Short -Term Summer Exchange Program in the UK together with a faculty member and student from Kobe Women’s University on a 5km historical run. They went from the University of Kent to the the Crooked House, which was built in the 17th c. The house provided a wonderful opportunity to talk about English architecture, historical sources, and connections between historical sites and literature.
